The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, require each employer to provide adequate supervision and training and as well as undertake manual handling risk assessments. This training will support employers to demonstrate their commitment to legal obligations. It does not qualify learners to undertake manual handling risk assessments independently but will provide them with some knowledge to assist the employer in identifying and completing risk assessments.View
First Aid at Work
The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work. The Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with five or fewer employees and to the self-employed.View
Fire warden / marshal
Fire Safety is often overlooked but can present a serious risk to both life and property. NLT offers Fire Safety training at either of our centres, or the preferred option of on-site, this then allows candidates to identify and understand potential risks/hazards at their workplace.
Our company director Aidy instructs all fire training as he has a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from 23 years in the fire service.
All business premises in the UK are required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to have a strategy in place to evacuate in case of fire, with a designated individual on hand to undertake a fire safety risk assessment and implement appropriate fire precautionary and protection measures. There should be a fully-maintained fire safety management plan.
Fire safety training can be something you only become aware of once you need it; it is better to be prepared before a fire, or even to avoid one at all. Businesses should take fire safety risk assessment seriously, and implement appropriate fire precautions and protection measures. You are required to maintain your fire management plan, so contact Needham Logistics Training to discuss our Fire Warden and Marshal courses.View
