The duration of this course provides delegates with sufficient time in which to deal with the complexity of the syllabus, whilst allowing the course tutor to provide individual advice and learning where required.
The course and examination does not have any formal entry requirements but delegates should be aware that the course assesses skills at Level 3 of the National Framework of Qualifications. As a result, delegates will need to have sound industry knowledge and good literacy and numeracy skills.
The examination consists of 2 examinations:
- Paper 1 – Multi choice, 2 hours, 40 questions (70% pass requirement)
- Paper 2 – Case study assessment, 2.5hrs ,3 questions (50% pass requirement)

It is a legal requirement that all Goods/Passenger Vehicle Operators, or a member of their staff must prove that they are ‘of good repute’ and professionally competent before an Operator’s Licence can be applied for.
To achieve this recognition, the operator, or a member of their staff, must successfully undertake the CPC Examinations and gain the Certificate of Professional competence in Transport Management
