Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training

Automatic External Defibrillators (AED's) are becoming more prevalent within our community but their use is not currently part of standard First Aid training courses.
HSE is increasingly welcoming awareness training for AED's as it instils greater confidence in their uses.
Training is not compulsory for employers nor is it compulsory to purchase AEDs to comply with First Aid Regulations.
However, if work place Risk Assessments identify the requirement for an AED then sufficient training must be provided.
Furthermore, evidence shows that when an AED was available and has been used, the outcomes are far more favorable for individuals who suffer a cardiac arrest than if the use of an AED was delayed and not available until the arrival of the emergency services.
Our AED courses can cover Basic Life Support skills to meet your needs and requirements. We can also cover all ages of potential patients from the elderly to the young and in all environments.
